A day in the life of…

Today was, well, better than the majority of my days but I am going to document it anyways.

We usually start our days around 630am, and this morning was no different.I ALWAYS walk into this face. Makes getting out of bed worth it! He’s always so happy to see me in the mornings and the feeling is mutual.

After getting up, it’s time for some breakfast! On todays menu- Strawberries and Banana! YUM!!! We usually rotate between fruit, cereal and toast.

We then had some play time in the ball pit. He has learnt how to flip into the ball pit. It’s hilarious to see.

Then it’s time to get dressed for the day! Looking spunky!

We then squeeze in some more play time before…

Byron goes for a nap around 9 for an hour or so…

Which gives me a chance to get dressed and ready for the day.

Then we headed out to pick up Max and Dice as we made plans to go shopping for a bit. Wednesday is usually the day we hang out with our besties- shopping, swimming, arting, whatever…

We went and looked at new prams before having some lunch- Vegemite sandwiches! I was looking at the strider compact… But I think I might just go with the plus 4 instead.

After lunch I had to post off a disc with all the wedding photos for one of our clients and then it was time for a swim! The boys fell asleep in the car so we went and got ice-cream first! After swimming we discussed booking in for swimming lessons and we have our first one tomorrow morning! He’s CLEARLY excited.

After swimming we headed home and hung out for a bit before dropping Max and Dice at home. They actually played nicely for the majority of the time, which is awesome! I swear Byron will defend himself from Maxs attacks one day…

Then we came home and I put B down for a nap… I don’t think he’s getting back up today… I didn’t expect that. Hahaha. He’s had no dinner. Nor a bath. Silly boy! I will spend the rest of my Eve cooking dinner for my lovely partner and either lounging with some TV or lurking the internet.

I’ve been slack on the blogging front…

So, here, have an update!

Byron- since Friday last week he has been a little ‘off’. Gradually my concern grew as he went from refusing to be away from me, to refusing most of his foods, to refusing most of his fluids. He wasn’t his happy self. On Sunday I decided it was time to take him to a doctor as I was seriously concerned about dehydration. We went on Sunday night and turns out he has tonsillitis and has another case of bronchiolitis. He’s been put on antibiotics and has been improving since starting them!

Other than that there is less than 50 days until his first birthday. This is insane! I have been slowly doing all the prep for it and it’s coming along nicely. He’s also learnt to pull himself up on furniture and has started cruising… Maybe he will walk by one!

Me- I am most definitely pregnant. Almost 6 weeks now and the pregnancy is definitely making itself known. I have had a few episodes of sickness however I think they’ve been brought on by not the healthiest of diets. I have since cut out or cut down a lot of crap and have felt a lot better. I still get boughts of nausea, but it passes quickly.

My skin is breaking out SO bad. I’ve been blessed with pretty clear skin so this makes me feel a little crappy, but I’m hoping it clears soon.

Our little family unit is preparing itself for the up haul that introducing another member inflicts, but we’re gonna be ready when it comes. We want this and it is right!

This is the first time in a week that I have been able to put Byron down without any protests. Since last Thursday he has screamed through every nappy change, every bath time, every attempt to sit and play. He has been going through a hard time and I have had almost no idea how to make it better.

This morning, miraculously, just as I was almost at my wits end, he has awoken in THE best mood. He’s smiling, laughing, playing with his toys, patiently waiting for food. He is the Byron I know and love!

Ugh!

I have to take Byron to get an X-ray tomorrow. He’s somehow hurt his shoulder and cries when you lift his arm. His doctor doesn’t THINK it’s broken but can’t be sure. I have no idea how he would have hurt it, let alone break/pop it. I’m going to bed. I am cranky and sad and paining. UUUUUUGGGH!!!

8.5 months, 37.5 weeks, 260 days.

In the last few days this guy has made me smile and laugh SO much that my heart is almost as bursting point. He has starting talking/babbling. He is CONSTANTLY saying ‘dada’ and babbling away. The fact that he is saying ‘dada’ makes lex smile and burst with pride. I can see it and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. He has been talking so much that he has lost his voice! He is hoarse and croaky, but still wants to chat!

Byron has also started moving. He’s commando crawling- slowly, but determinedly. It shall only be a matter of time before he is full on crawling and getting into everything!

I love this guy! And I am going to cherish every moment together before we bring to life his sibling.
